Jameel Verjee

Jameel began his career as a lawyer with Berwin Leighton Paisner in London and Paris. He chose to leave the law to start several businesses in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, the most recent being CityBlue Hotels, a hospitality chain in sub-Saharan Africa.

CityBlue has developed into one of Africa’s fastest-growing and most respected African-born hotel groups with existing properties in Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania and Zambia.

CityBlue has significant short and medium-term pipeline across East, West and Indian Ocean Africa. It is managed by Diar Hospitality, a member of The Diar Group.
