Marten Foxon is a Senior Portfolio Manager in the Hospitality division of the Real Estate& Infrastructure Department of Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (“ADIA”). He is primarily responsible for the asset management of existing global hospitality investments, which range from full-service 5-star hotels through to a portfolio of select-service hotels. He is also involved in new investment opportunities, disposals and re-financings. He joined ADIA in February 2016. Prior tojoining ADIA Marten was the Chief Operating Officer of a privately-held investment fund which owned 10 5-star hotels in Europe, most of which were subject to long-term management agreements with InterContinental Hotels and Resorts. Prior to this he held a variety of senior positions in private equity funds and listed hotel companies, always in the field of real estate, asset management and M&A and, as such, has been negotiated and executed transactions (both single asset and portfolio) throughout Europe, the USA, the Caribbean and Australia with an aggregate value in excess of US$8.0billion. Marten holds a B.Sc. in Hotel Administration from the University of Surrey.
