ALIGI GARDENGHI , Vice President Marketing EMEA & Commercial Director MEA has more than 20 years’ commercial and operational hospitality experience ranging from revenue development to sales and marketing. A multi-skilled executive, Aligi is a critical thinker and strategist, managing EMEA’s marketing disciplines and regional strategy incorporating more than 400 hotels in EMEA. He is responsible for the six key disciplines of marketing - customer marketing, loyalty marketing, tactical consumer marketing, brand marketing, partnership and sponsorships, consumer insights and CRM - his mission is to inspire more and more customers across our markets to explore, experience and fall in love with Hilton’s hotels and brands, by creating innovative programmes, products and partnerships that drive engagement, grow share of wallet and accelerate performance. Aligi was promoted to VP of Marketing EMEA in 2013 and was based in Hilton’s regional corporate office in London, prior to that he was based in Dubai as Senior Director of Revenue for Hilton Worldwide, Middle East & Africa. His return to Dubai sees him take on the additional responsibility as Commercial Director MEA which is testament to the importance and dynamism of this region. In his role, Aligi oversees the awareness for the eight brands that Hilton operates across EMEA; has helped to double the number of Hilton Honors (Hilton’s award-winning loyalty programme) members in the region, and has supported the regional planning and execution of Hilton’s largest-ever marketing campaign in ‘Stop Clicking Around’. A graduate of the Istituto Professionale Alberghierodi Stato, Hotel Business Management at “A. Vespucci” in Milan, Italy, Aligi is conversant in Italian, English and French. Residing in Dubai, UAE, Aligi enjoys spending time with his family and trying to master golf.
