Gaurav Bhushan is the Global Chief Development Officer of AccorHotels, responsible for overseeing the group’s hotel development strategy worldwide. AccorHotels has more than 4,000 hotels, resorts and residences, as well as in over 2,600 of the finest private homes around the globe. Benefiting from dual expertise as an investor and operator through its HotelServices and HotelInvest divisions, AccorHotels operates in 95 countries. Its portfolio comprises internationally acclaimed luxury brands including Raffles, Fairmont, SO Sofitel, SOFITEL, onefinestay, MGallery by Sofitel, Pullman, Swissôtel and Grand Mercure, as well as the popular midscale and boutique brands of Novotel, Mercure, Mama Shelter and Adagio; and thein-demand economy brands including ibis, ibis Styles and ibis budget. AccorHotels had a record year of openings in 2015 with 229 hotels and 36,172 and has a strong pipeline over 930 hotels and 177,000 rooms. AccorHotels opens more than one hotel every otherday somewhere in the world. Reporting to CEO and Chairman Sebastien Bazin, Gaurav is responsible for the network growth for the group. Gaurav began his career with AccorHotels in 1995 in Australia, Where he held various posts in operations and finance. From 2006 he headed the Asia Pacific development teams. He was promoted to Global Chief Development Officer role in July 2015. Gaurav has an MBA from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT University) and a Postgraduate Diploma in Applied Finance & Investments from the Securities Institute of Australia.
